According to Malcolm Gladwell in his book, 'The Tipping Point', "What makes someone a Connector? The first--and most obvious criterion is that Connectors know lots of people. They are the kinds of people who know everyone."  I'm one of those people.  It wasn't entirely clear to me until two years ago, but I've come to appreciate the power of a vast and diverse network.

TRUE MEANING OF 'TEAM PLAYER'

When it comes down to it, a Connector really is the truest form of a 'team player'.  I consider myself to be as effective a team player as I do a leader.  A true team player is one that can be counted on to not only do his or her part of the work and be relied on to complete tasks and work cooperatively with others, but also to identify areas where fellow employees need assistance to complete their tasks.  As a Connector, that is exactly what I do.

GIVE AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE

I truly enjoy helping others, and frankly that activity has rewarded me in ways that I never anticipated. It's true when they say 'give and you shall recieve'!  Sure, some will take your generosity for granted, some may even abuse it, but for the most part if you do it enough it pays huge dividends.

Over time, my network has grown stronger and stronger.  I'm quite fortunate to have an incredibly large network of honourable, reliable and extremely gifted friends.  People often send their friends and acquaintences to me in hopes that I might be able to connect them to my network.
